Providing and sending 20k Meals to the 3rd world
On Sunday November 13th, First Baptist Lyman and many friends from our community are packing and sending 20,000 meals to the third world to make a statement. We're not content being a church that talks the talk without walking the walk... and if God tells us to care for orphans and widows... we're going to try to do everything we can to!
THE NEED
Between 16,000-40,000 kids under 5 die each day from hunger related diseases… that's about every 6 seconds. We believe one of the reasons God has called us to be a church is to do something about this!
Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows. - Isaiah 1:17
OUR GOAL
We're not able to solve the problem, but we can do something... so our church and friends from our community are raising money and assembling and shipping 20,000 meals... enough to represent about the number of children who die each day from hunger. It's not enough, but we're trying. You can help! It takes 100 dollars to provide 333 of these meals... and then 2 hours of your time. Let us know and we'll make room for you at our event!
