Bro. Robby Rikard - Pastor

Bro. Robby was called as Pastor to First Baptist Church of Lyman December 12, 2010. He was licensed and ordained at Holcomb Baptist Church in Holcomb, MS where he served as Bi-vocational Youth Minister for 2 years (2006-2008). Bro. Robby was then called to serve as Pastor of Cascilla Baptist Church in Cascilla, MS which was his first pastorate, and he served there for 2.5 years (2008-2010).

Family:

Bro. Robby and Jennifer have been married for 9 years. They have two children, MaKayla (6 yrs. old) and John Grayson (2 yrs. old). MaKayla is in the 1st grade at Lyman Elementary, and John Grayson stays home with Jennifer who is a full time mom.

Education and Professional Background:

Bro. Robby received a Bachelor's Degree in Forest Management from Mississippi State University (2004) where he received Xi Sigma Pi honors as well as Dean's Scholar and Sophomore Academic Achievement Award. He was a sole proprietor of a successful forestry consulting business before receiving the call to pastor.

Bro. Robby is currently attending New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he hopes to graduate with a Master of Divinity in May of 2012.

Hobbies:

Bro Robby: Family time, Running, outdoor enthusiast, hunting, fishing, reading, Bible study, health and fitness 

Jennifer: Family activities, entertaining, decorating, reading, cooking, crafting, and singing

Louis White- Minister of Music

           Louis White was ordained as Minister of Music in 1979. He served a full-time position at First Baptist Church of Marietta, OK, for twenty-one years. While in Oklahoma, he established an extensive church music program and a community jazz band. He also served as Oklahoma Boy’s State Band Director, orchestra director for the statewide Falls Creek Baptist Encampment, and was a member of the Oklahoma Singing Churchmen.

           In 2001 he moved to Mississippi with his wife Elaine, who is an associate professor of English at The University of Southern Mississippi. He comes to Lyman from Handsboro Baptist Church of Gulfport, MS, where he served from January 2001 until March of 2009.
